ASP / PHP Junior / Midweight Web Developer - Permanent - London
Skyron is a very busy and growing digital communications agency in London. We have a fantastic client list and produce successful work such as CMS driven websites, ecommerce, Flash games and competitions, emails and much more. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hard working individual to join our team as a full time Junior / Midweight Developer.
About the role
- You will be working on the technical implementation of a variety of web projects including websites, microsites, blogs and bespoke web based solutions.
- You will be developing, implementing and maintaining bespoke MySQL or ASP/NET Content Management Systems.
- You will be developing websites using Drupal, Joomla, Umbraco, Wordpress, etc.
- You will work with both internal and external resources, such as: designers, animators, back-end developers, information architects, etc.
- You will work with the creative team helping generate original ideas and you will get the opportunity to explore, experiment and implement diverse technical solutions.
About you
- You have at least 1 year's experience working as a developer in digital communications.
- You have worked closely with information architects and designers and understand the creative process.
- You will be comfortable working with the latest technologies and practices such as Web 2.0, user-generated content and user-centric design, as well as the latest search engine optimization and accessibility practices and standards.
- You must have demonstrable hands-on experience in:
* CSS and cross browser compatibility
* W3C-valid XHTML
* PHP5 (object-oriented)
* AJAX frameworks like mootools, prototype.js, scriptaculous
* SQL (MySQL)
- You are creative, resourceful and you enjoy problem solving, experimentation and working on self-initiated projects and ideas.
- You live by the maxim "the devil is in the detail".
