.NET Developer / Programmer - financial services - Jersey
A supplier of financial services requires a .NET Developer / Programmer, for a permanent role based in Jersey, Channel Islands.
The ideal candidate will have good experience developing applications in .NET (VB.NET / ASP.NET), experience of SQL or Oracle 10g and ideally experience of BPM (business process management) or ECM (enterprise content management).
Working as part of the Solutions Development team, you will provide analysis, design and development services.

Job Description:
The Solutions Development team provides analysis, design and development services. The team is dually located in London and CI and also works closely with external development partners.
Current initiatives include:
Building an ECM (enterprise content management) and BPM (business process management)
capability. This includes the use of BPM and collaboration tools sets, Lombardi and SharePoint.
Reviewing the development process to facilitate agile methodologies.
Building a security audit capability within the team.
The support and upgrading of existing applications.
Introduction of process standards and architecture.
Role purpose
Responsible for providing leadership in the development of solutions using appropriate technologies.
Design, specification, review, build, implementation and maintenance of solutions.
To contribute to a high performance team culture that jointly owns the solution.
To assist in building capabilities within the team.
Technical Skills
Practical experience and qualification in the following development environments / languages: VB.NET, VBA, HTML, ASP.NET.
Practical experience of developing applications using MS SQL 2000/5 and Oracle 10g.
Detailed knowledge and practical experience of at least one current development methodology, e.g. Waterfall, RAD, SCRUM, Agile development.
Experience of configuration management toolsets.
Experience of designing, deploying and maintaining high-performance, scalable enterprise applications
