Our client is looking for a Occupational Therapist to provide effective client centred occupational therapy service to patients. Devise, implement and evaluate individual treatment and interventions working effectively and efficiently on an individual and team level within a multi-disciplinary team and maintain clear communication networks with staff, patients and carers
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Management
* Ensure that all contacts with patients/clients and internal or external customers are handled in a sensitive and competent manner.
* Participate in orientation and development of new staff.
* Demonstrate an awareness of the needs of individual team members and give support and guidance where necessary.
* Facilitate motivation and innovation amongst colleagues encouraging a positive attitude toward change.
Clinical Professional Responsibilities
* As part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), assess the suitability of patients for provision of OT interventions following a referral
* To carry out specific standardised and non-standardised OT assessment(s)
* To plan and implement appropriate intervention programmes
* To ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of intervention programmes
* To act as resource and offer support to patient and relatives / carers
