CONDITIONAL HAPPINESS IS UNHAPPINESS
#1
People think of their happiness as of conditional one. For instance, people are inclined to think: “If I would have had better work conditions, then I would be happy. If I would have had that kind of house, car, girlfriend, etc, then I would be happier”. What is common in the above two statements is that people have a tendency to blame the circumstances for their unhappiness.

But the fact of the matter is that we should approach things with a positive attitude, not when the circumstances will change, but now. Why? The bad circumstances might not change our attitude, but our positive attitude can change the bad circumstances. People label themselves unsuccessful, just because they look at their situation through bad circumstances.

The first step to break this vicious circle is to realize that conditional happiness is unhappiness. We will discuss further this subject, after we will hear from you.

the world we live in is a materialistic one. Whatever we do, money and other expensive things swallow our attention. But, when one gets the thing he wanted, happiness simulates his mind. Actually, it disapears very soon. It also refers to me, but, I can't do anything about it. Still, I understand that happiness is only inside our mind.

I feel very happy when I talk to my friends. The more time I spend with them, the happier I feel. So I'm trying to follow this principle.
“The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.”

very good Helen. I find myself happy when I dance. I leave my troubles to fly away and simply enjoy the time. But, the problem is I am a grown-up and have very little time for such occasions.

The line of thought of people, who think conditionally about happiness, goes like this:

- in other companies would be better;
- with other chief would be better;
- if only that condition could be provided for me etc.

What happens is that the person projects in his mind unfulfilled expectations. And these postponed, unfulfilled expectations make the person unhappy.

The advice here is not to think what others could do for you, but what you can do for others. Because if you expect what others can do for you, then you will think conditionally about your happiness. And conditional happiness is unhappiness. Instead, take initiative. You may start to make a difference by doing something yourself. For instance, you may smile to begin with. Smiling is infectious. This is more than nothing. Next you may try to do something more substantial.
