Usually people understand that they must be more patient. They even give themselves silent command: "Be patient". But somehow they forget to follow it. The command works for them a couple of minutes or, for some, a couple of days, but in the end they forget it.
So, we can see that patience, based on the command:"Be patient", doesn't last. Why? Because it is based on mechanical memorization of the command. The real patience manifests in people, when they concentrate on listening and understanding other people. After all, our active life is a sequence of communications with other people. Real listening of other persons involves empathy, - the power of identifying oneself mentally with (and so fully comprehending) other person. The empathy doesn't allow you to be impatient, because you are fully concentrated on other person. And because of this, you don't have time to display impatience. So, if you want to be more patient, try to really listen and really understand other people.
