According to recent events - yes it is possible. Yesterday it was confirmed that earlier a French and English submarine crushed under water. As captains say, this happened because the technology in both submarines was too advanced, so it could not allow other submarines detect them. hock:
Fortunately nobody died. By the way, these submarines were nuclear. If they exploded, the consequences would have been awful...

Hey Guest, can you be more specific? Why is that? Normally it should explode and eliminate much radiation, right?

Both UK and French Defense Ministers are now asked to give explanations on how this was possible

There's so much space under the water. This might not be a coincidence at all, since the chance of crush is 1 against a million. The same latitude, the same longitude... France and UK are spying on each other.

I don't see other possibilities than coincidence. I mean why would any of these submarines spy on each other? These are not the 70s when Russian KGB was everywhere. Moreover, Britain and France have always been building good relations.

Peter, these relations are good indeed. However it's only a diplomatic commitment. What is truly happening is that every state is trying to collect as many compromising evidence about other states as possible

A similar incident happened to an American nuclear submarine in 2005. Then, the submarine rammed into an undersea mountain. Well, OK, I guess it was easier to prevent this crash, since the mountain is static, while two submarines permanently move.

submarines are not cars. Though, there were cases when even two planes from different airlines crashed. I imagine what those people feel when they are under water, alone, the submarine feels shock, and they don't know what to expect, since only one little hole could sink the entire submarine.
