Some question for those living in the EU
#1
Has the EU improved the economic growth of all countries involved? Also, Does the European Union pass laws? If so, do they override those laws of the country? For those living in the EU, what is your opinion on the EU? Good for the country? Good for the economy? Good for the people?....What is your opinion on NAFTA?

We aren't a members, but I want to say, that EU it is a thing that must be happened. Globalization, Empires have turned into Unions.

RJG, how can you ask if laws are passed in the EU? Certainly they are, everyday, each economic/social field is improved due to new laws. Laws of countries are not overridden, they simply conform to the EU standards.
Is it good for countries? Yes I believe. We became absolutely free and globalized. That's the modern trend.
If you're asking about the EU, then you probably must be a US citizen, so why don't you tell us more about NAFTA?

NAFTA showed a good example to the world that free trade areas are opportune and profitable for each of its members. Thus, USA benefits of cheap labour force from Mexico, while Mexico benefits of imports from the US.

Tricker, when saying that NAFTA is profitable for each member, you have to mention to what degree it is profitable for each party. If taking it as 100%, then 70% of the benefit comes to USA, 10% to Mexico and 20% to Canada.

Steven, when saying that NAFTA is profitable for each member, you have to dig a little deeper.
It opened the door for corporations to easily cross borders. So the USA loses their heavy
industry southward, and has increased unemployment. And the corporations skip heavier
USA taxes. Mexico gets more employment, but at lousy wages. If taking it at 100%, then
90% of the benefit goes to the corporations, 10% to more employment (at lousy wages) to
Mexico, And leaves the USA and Canada blinking and looking around saying,"What just
happened here...?".
