A conservation programme for some of the world's most bizarre and unusual creatures has been launched by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).
Species like the bumblebee bat and the pygmy hippopotamus will be protected under the Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered (Edge) project.
You may add some more information about these weird animals.

These weirdest species are a part of the nature, and constitute the global biodiversity. They have their role in nature. For e.g. if a sort of the insect or animal disappears that it brings the disappearance of some other species.... That's why everyone should be protected.
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

Of course we should protect them, what else we will show to our children? These species are funny and also are a part of ecosystem, they shouldn't be left without protection.
