Do YOU believe in God? Write the reasons...

Yes, I believe. I think the world cannot exist by itself and in nature, in everything around us He is felt. I am religious and believe in the heaven and the hell, and the Apocalypse.

Why not? it's better to believe than not to, you don't lose anything if you have faith. So I think that there exists a power which guides us.

I would like to beleive in God. But, honestly, I don't feel anything. Maybe I will have some kind of revelation one day?!

I would like to have the support network of a religion, and belong to a community. I have extensive 'Christmas' / winter celebrations every year! And I would love to get married: I must be the only girl in the world whose parents don't want her to get married!

But my parents were atheists, so I had it drummed in to me that organised religion is just a way of controlling people, and of holding women back in particular :-( I do think religions exploit our desire to belong to a group.

My father and I are interested in religions, and my father taught me proverbs and ideas from most religions. Also, my wider family are mixed religion. So how would I choose which religion and denomination to follow?!

Yes I do believe. How many times go to church, I feel relieved, like someone taking my cat! I believe in my guardian angel and I know he takes care of me and the other angels to others! there is a supreme power! god is for me for others alah, mohamed etc. :ange

I do not believe in god. The reason is obvious.

Is not obvious ..everyone has his opinion.. there is a supreme power ... in what do you believe? or you are atheist ? have you benn christen
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."

The question just was: "Do YOU believe in God?". I answered "No". The reason just seems obvious to me (from my own position).
As for me, I belive in Life (e.g.). This may seem a bit abstract to you. But for me this notion is not more abstrac than the notion of God.

of course you choose in what to believe! I am agree with you about this topic and its abstractivity ! I can not say I'm spiritual but not atheistic either! I'm more realistic and believe in what I see and what I'v been through!

I don't think my life principles are somewhat unique. I live my life with the thought that I'm surrounded with the world of ideas in its space-time continuum. I.e. for all its history, Present time inclusive, Mankind has been creating many intersting things, using its talant and genius, within the worlds of spirit and matter. (Though I realize Mankind is daaamned imperfect). That's why I'm curious and am still discovering new things.
I also consider a human being living just one life. After this comes noting. There's no God in my world (still IT is in yours, isn't it). That's why I try to live a valuable life. And to care of people, who are important for me, not to be indifferent.
What or who may change me? Everything and everyone for I live not in the closed world. But often it's books and people.

I've tried to explain.

I get what I wish. And I like it. Or are you talking about the hell awaiting me after death? "Hell is the others", as Jean-Paul Charles Aymard Sartre said, and I agree with him. Actually the most important fact I've ever learnt is "42".

I'm not surprised of your answer! Are you a man who prefers instead to pray and wait for miracles to find a solution. Thanks for the answer!

I do not believe in God and have no intentions of believing in God in future.

Reasons: In my opinion, God is a wonderful concept. Depending on 1) what you believe about God, religion can do both good and bad to you (though IMO, good and bad are relative and perspective rather than absolute) and 2) depending on how much you believe in God can take you that farther in that direction (example: Saints, Islamic terrorists). Yet, I am better of without any alignment to God. I get what I want and am happy doing things myself and taking responsibility for them.

No, if another religion will be proposed to me i won't switch to it. It is true that the God is a single, but by the earthen laws we should bear that religion that was thirst for us after the birth.

and then how to explain that people Catholics, Orthodox, Islam, Jews, etc. are ready for their love to change religion?
