Principle of high pressure gear pump

High pressure gear pump is a rotary pump which transfers liquid or pressurizes by changing and moving the working volume formed between pump cylinder and meshing gear. Two closed spaces are composed of two gears, pump body and front and rear covers. When the gear rotates, the volume of the space on the gear disengaged side changes from small to large, forming a vacuum. The liquid is sucked in, and the volume of the space on the meshing side of the gear changes from large to small, and the liquid is squeezed into the pipeline. The suction chamber and discharge chamber are separated by the meshing line of two gears. The pressure of the discharge port of the gear pump completely depends on the size of the resistance at the pump outlet.
The principle of gear pump is very simple, that is, its most basic form is that two gears of the same size mesh and rotate in a close fitting shell. The interior of the shell is similar to the "8" shape. Two gears are installed inside, and the outer diameter and both sides of the gear are tightly matched with the shell. The material from the extruder enters the middle of the two gears at the suction port, fills the space, moves along the shell with the rotation of the teeth, and finally discharges when the two teeth mesh.
