Is there any possible way for a 51 year old American woman to get a job over in Germany?

Please help if you have any information whatsoever.

I believe Monster dot com has foreign websites. If not, there are similar services everywhere.

you need some kind of profession that they are looking for in Germany

and also to stay there permanently you have to speak the German language

In Germany, you have to be licensed to work (in addition to a work visa). So, if you are a teacher, you have to obtain a German teaching license in addition to your work visa. In order to obtain a work visa, you have to demonstrate a skill which there is a demand for in Germany.

Don't worry about speaking German. I took 3 years of HS German. When I got a chance to go there, I felt retarded. After about 2 weeks though, I started to fit in (too bad it was only a 3 week trip). Total immersion is the best way to learn a new language.
