Once you can cut the high level gems, you will be rolling in money! You can also quit your professions in one of the menus

For a low level, take 2 gathering professions.
Herbalism / Skinning
Mining / Skinning
and sell the mats you harvest.

First off, I hate Blood Elves. Just too... androgynous to me. Plus I am all Alliance.
But if you need some low level cash to make, I would get something like leatherworking and mining and sell the mats on the AH, you'll be surprised how many people need low level things to up their skill.

1. I advise doing what the previous people said: switching to a GATHERING profession, I.E. herbalism, mining, and/or skinning. Sell the mats.
2. If you REALLY can't switch professions, then do this:
1. Look on the auction house for items YOU can make with jewelcrafting.
2. Find out which of your items sells for the most money.
3. Make lots of them and put them on the auction house.
4. As you move up, look for better earning items with Jewelcrafting, and you can use

to find more items that you can make once you level up your profession more. Hope that helps!
Also, enchanting generally makes the most money. Tailoring is also good.
