Team sports improve cooperation and communication skills in a number of ways. First, you have to learn to work together in order to achieve a common goal. You are all trying to win, hopefully, so this is your common goal. If everyone on the team doesn't cooperate, then no one will be in sync, your plan won't work, and you will lose the game. In relation to communication, everyone on the team has to cooperate and this takes verbal and nonverbal expression of common goals, or communicating verbally and non verbally. Everyone on the team has to be on the same page and this cannot be accomplished unless there is a great deal of communication between every player on the team. This is only a jumping off point, so I hope it's helpful in getting you started.
