The First Chapter of Holy Quran is the Essence of the Book which Links Servants with Allah.
Peace be on you.
The opening chapter of the Holy Quran is Surah al-Fatiha. It consists of essence of all teachings of the Holy Quran. Allah has pointed this fact in the verse: And We have, indeed, given you the seven oft-repeated (verses), and the Great Quran. (chapter 15:verse 88)
Because of this angle, the Surah Fatiha is also called Ummul Kitab (The Mother of the Book, because all purposes of the Holy Quran are extracted from it ) and Surah al-Jamey (The Comprehensive Chapter, because it is synopsis of all type of knowledge of the Holy Quarn). Allah told The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) that He has divided Surah Fatiha between Him and His servant.
The Chapter Fatiha, according to promised messiah of this age, comprises of all purposes of Holy Quran which are:
1) Praise of Allah for Whom belong all excellences and worships.
2) Allah is perfect Maker and Creator of universe.
3) He grants everyone without anyone’s asking.
4) He specially grants results of effort.
5) He is the Owner of Hereafter.
6) The Surah also tells about faithfulness, pureness, corrections and praying to One God only.
7) It tells ultimate cause is Allah. Help, stability, safety from weaknesses, provisions of ways and means for physical and spiritual life has to be asked from Allah only.
8) The Surah tells about right path and how to seek it with humble prayers.
9) It tells about the blessed people of right path so that others are encouraged.
10) It tells about the people who incurred Allah’s displeasure and the people who went astray.
