Contract Role - Possible rolling long term.
You will be required to provide a professional and high quality technical support & infrastructure service to the end users of technical services. Ensure IT services are available and secure at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Network services - Installation and configuration of network infrastructure including servers, workstations, switches, routers etc
* Testing, evaluation and implementation of new applications and systems
* Technical administration necessary in order to keep all systems operational, secure and virus free
* Provide 2nd/3rd line support to resolve software, hardware and communications problems
* Ensure departmental administration records of equipment, network infrastructure software, locations and connectivity maintained
* Able to work in both a team and independantly.
Essential Candidate Requirements
* Good expenience probably 3 years IT experience in similar role
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
* Methodical, organised, able to lead small projects independently
* Good team player
Technical Requirements
* MCSE qualification or CCNA qualification
* Experience of VPN technologies
* VERITAS Backup exec / Net Backup, Remote Access Services.
* Monitoring & optimising systems performance, reliability and availability
* Knowledge and experience of WAN & LAN technologies within a Cisco environment including installation and configuration of network switches and routers.
* Installing and configuring TCP/IP networks including DNS, DHCP, WINS and subnetting.
* Ensuring system security through use of anti virus systems, firewalls and Router technologies.
* MS Exchange server 5.5 and 2003
