I'm in no way a misogyny, trust me :-) Just the opposite - I'm a desperate admirer of women. But have you ever heard about a female geo-politician, or serious philosopher? I don't say that women should sit at home, cook and take care of kids. They can do a lot, almost everything (including space travels). But there are some things like wars and geo-politics, that they are just not good at :-) War is a man's business, it's even against a woman's nature (because they give birth to us). Though I'm sure, they can be (and are) good scientists and politicians. I'm sure if Burdzhanadze was Georgian president, nothing would happen. Though she's also anti-Russian, but she's smart and sane - this is what important).

Only source that I can found In Russian - media are exo moskvi ( radio chanel with not big covarige),RTVI ( which is tv channel and cannot wathched in Russia only in some countries abroad), and grani.ru ( in internet there are some more but coevige of internet and intenet users ammount is not big in Russia).

And its questionable what is level of there independance.

RTVI is watchable in Russia through satellite (many of us have it, for example, I have about 900 programs on my 2 dishes, including Al Jazeera and even China and Thailand TV, not speaking of whole Europe). Echo of Moscow has a web site, thus nobody actually needs coverage now, since the internet is the main media - you can access it whenever it is convenient for you, save the material, etc. They have their programs in mp3 format too. But the way, most radiostations now have live internet broadcasting. For example, when we go Thailand or another end of the world, we listen to Russian radio through the internet (laptop). Yes, Grani.ru, and many other - I don't remember right now, because I'm not a fan of these sites, I just find them through google when I look for something. Of course, the level of independence is always questionable, because there's no really independent media in the whole world. Maybe they depend on the US State Dept, or the secret government of Tanzania, I don't know. But one thing is for sure - these are mostly anti-Russian and anti-Kremlin sources for sure. Just read the materials published there and you'll find the proofs.

There were screenshots on this forum, and I saw myself, when the figure was 78% (that's before the poll ended). The internet coverage in Russia is very wide. By the way, even the "government-controlled TV", as you call it, have many interesting DISCUSSION PROGRAMS, where pro_kremlin and 500% anti-Kremlin persons come and fight verbally, plus there are support teams for each side, plus TV-bridges with other cities or countries. So, it's not just news (propaganda), but real discussions. Simply you do not know this, and you're told nothina about it, that's why you have this awful picture of Russia :-)

About my fan sites: as I said ten times: my fan sites everywhere - in France, Germany, the US, the UK, in Russia, in the Ukraine, and the rest of the world. Don't make me what I'm not. I haven't been to lenta.ru for several years, even forgot about it. But the way, several pages up I gave links for reading (the US, UK and France sources) - anybody has opinions?
