Solving Africa's and Australia's water problem.

First stop sending them arms. Instead us the money to supply them bulldozers and such. With the bulldozers they can cut channels
from one water source to another such as it is shown the drawing. I would recommend a small project first like on the
east coast as shown in Somalia. In places like Kenya a hairpin turn could do th e same thing. Using the hairpin they can go in for several hundred
miles and turn around. Saltwater can be distilled, used for industry, washing, growing saltwater plants, provide needed moisture, fishing, and much more.
And let us not forget that it also provides salt. Any places where it might affect underground freshwater can be side stepped or avoided with
all sots of plumbing. Hey! Australia what are you waiting for? You can spend millions on a opera house but you can't sing without water - dummies.

I think whole world should do the same, cause if will disarpear oil,let's say, we ,will find a way to move on, but if will disapear drinking water, I even don't want to imagene what will be...

From my point of view, thinking as a system/network engr this is what i see...
[Input]Precipitation(rain,snow) -> Rivers (fresh water) -> [Output]Human consumption -> [Leak]Rivers (contaminated) -> Oceans

Assuming input(amount of rain, etc) is almost fixed. Only thing between Input and Output are fresh water rivers. We have to do something with the rivers that will maximise the output and minimise leak.

If we could build a network of rivers, more land will have access to rivers and longer will the river water stay on land before it goes into the oceans. As a positive side effect, this will also reduce flooding of rivers as their path is now more diversified. Excess water from a river can be divrted to other rivers.

Just a thought :-)

thinking is good but impractical. rivers are not from rain water, but spring from the ground water; also in summer, due to hot weather, most of them lose a big quantity of water so would not be enough for a larger network.

Though there is a considerable amount of river water that comes from ground, a large amount of river water comes precipitation, i.e., from rain and release of stored water in natural ice and snowpack in glaciers. Summer is only for few months in a year, we already reservoirs for that.

But, not all river water, can be brought to conditions of drinking water,also many rivers flow away from human settlements. And large rivers have already made storage pools...

I could say that water is expensive as any on earth, if not then the water would not be possible development in any sphere. In my opinion water is liquid substance without which there would be no life on earth

In the Netherlands we flush our toilets with clean water,
that might be something we can change.
if we just use our used showerwater to flush the toilet,
we would save a lot of water.

The Grey Water Toilet System by Alison Norcott is a smart toilet system minimizes water wastage by allowing shower water to be utilized for flushing. When you shower drain water is collected and pumped into an in-wall tank, and when needed the toilet uses the in-wall tank of used shower water to clean the toilet. In India, every house has two water supply connections. One is the drinking water, normally used for drinking, cooking, showering etc. Other is the underground water used for other purposes like, for example, flushing toilets, gardening, washing vehicles, etc.
