Telecoms Technical Pre-Sales
Salary: £23,000 - £28,000 + 15% Bonus
Location: Central London
Produces standard technical proposals from across product portfolio within agreed turnaround times and using all available tools & processes, including building connectivity checks, requests for offnet quotes etc.
Responds to technical product queries from Sales, Customers or other internal functions. Continuously increases a detailed working knowledge of Product Portfolio.
Qualifies technical opportunities & redirects if necessary to right competence centre
Assists competence centres in building complex proposals
Assists OCT teams in completing technical order forms
Actively participates in pan-euro product forums
Deskbound role
Expected to work 80% for local country and 20% for other countries or international business
Adopts a flexible and results orientated approach
Works on own initiative where necessary
Ability to cope with stress, solve problems and deal with a variety of situations
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
Methodical and thorough approach to work
Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines to address multiple issues
Customer Service background or customer oriented experiences
Excellent understanding of telecoms and networking technologies, products and the competitive environment.
Essential:
Excellent technical understanding in a wide field covering a good knowledge of the underlying technologies over products which are built: IP (protocol stack, IP addressing, routing protocols, MPLS), basic bandwidth (SDH, interfaces and standards), Ethernet, IN/IVR and TDM/IP Voice.
Good amount of experience in a similar role
Experience in an operational environment designing solutions from end to end.
