Should you care about your image? It seems like an easy question, but it is not. Consider the following question: “What do you think about a brilliant advertisement, which is high above the product it advertises?”
When you project an image, which doesn’t correspond to your personality, you live double life: one for the image, and another for yourself. You form an internal conflict between these two lives, which over time will become an external conflict. Somehow, people will discover that, and what will remain of your image then? So, try to harmonize these two lives, bringing them into one. Why is this so important? It is vital for your mental health! So, refuse to project an image of yourself, which doesn’t correspond to your personality. You may lose by doing so in a short run, but you will win in a long run term!
