EU against Russia
#1
The European Union's 27 fragmented members are discovering new unity in the face of a Russia emboldened by oil and gas wealth and increasingly willing to pressure the EU's new members in Eastern Europe.

During the G8 summit, Medvedev said it may stary military and technical operations if the USA continues to strengthen its positions in Balkan countries.

The things I hate is that - the EU understands well that these thigns won't have a good end, and, still, allows the relations beween the USa and RUssia to worsen.

In this relation, I would say that the EU is rather neutral than an ally of the USA. The issue concerns the entire world, that's why a lot of sectors are implied here, the EU can't have a confident position.

well it should. Generally, this spectacle of diplomacy must be ended. Countries must claim directly and confidently their positions.

It's a very dangerous work to do that. The world requires diplomacy, otherwise there would only be wars over wars!

the yesterday NATO meeting obviously worsened relations between the EU and Russia.

The EU is fragmented in this respect. Since the Iraq war, the UK is very much the USA's pet dog, despite the protests of the British people :evil It has transpired that, at the time of the Iraq war, the UK was in debt to the USA. While the USA holds the purse strings, people have to be their allys.

In addition, there are age-old rivalries between most of the member states, and they often distrust European policies. Especially if they appear to benefit one country more than another.

I'm absolutely agree with you, there should be diplomacy in such situation, they should find a common point, to make its business in peaceful meaning, because from their misunderstanding a lot of people can suffer and it is very sad.
