Hi! I’m sure you’ve heard about burning forests here in Greece. It was a [news.bbc. co. uk/2/hi/Europe/8217433. stm] terrible sight! You can say that the whole Greece was on fire!
Many people here think that the fires were set intentionally [edition.cnn. com/2007/WORLD/Europe/08/25/Greece.fires/] as in 2007. But we can only assume who did this.
E.g. my brother is in the Army now. Well, the rumors have been circulating around them for quite some time that a new NATO military base is planned to be constructed in Greece. He says that their officers are pretty jittery now - there’ll be a lot of trouble! They just haven’t yet decided where the base will be located. At first it was supposed to be in the Gulf of Corinth, but then they seem to have changed their mind in favor of [/Encarta.msn. com/map_701512363/euboea. html] the Euboea Island. No wonder - it’s a perfect place for the military perspectives! However, no one could start construction there before the fires because there were large forests and parks, and you know, our laws don’t permit any construction in such areas!
Anyway, now that the fire has destroyed those forests you can build a dozen bases and there’ll still be a lot of space! But you’ll never have the pristine nature.
Given all the above-mentioned, I wonder if US secret agents put our Greece on fire.
