In Warsaw the Ukrainian president was officially welcomed with the President of Poland, Lech Kaczynski. During the meeting Victor Yushchenko was awarded the Commander’s Cross of Polonia Restituta (president. gov.ua/en/news/14890. html). The order can be conferred for outstanding achievements in military and civil fields of this country. It can be given to both civilians and soldiers, as well as, to foreigners (en .wikipedia. org/wiki/Polonia_Restituta). But what is Ukrainian president’s merits, I wonder? Yushchenko presents himself a legal successor of UPA and glorifies those murderers who’ve killed more than 100 Poles during the Second World War. I say, such a Polish-Ukrainian friendship defaces memory of the dead. The current Ukrainian government shouldn’t be a friend of Poles in NFW.
