Peace be on you.
On November 8, 2020 missionaries and life-devotees for faith, of Bangladesh’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Community [from Darut Tabligh Mosque, Dhaka] had the opportunity to have online meeting with Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Fifth Khalifah of worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (may Allah be his Helper), from Tilford, UK.
A missionary informed that Ahmadi Muslim youth in villages tend to move to cities for better economic and educational opportunities, thus leaving less members in villages.
Hadhrat Khalifatul Messiah V (a.t.) responded that migration to cities is happening worldwide, it is normal, and it shows there are economic and educational opportunities in cities, and it is sign of progress. However if cottage industry scheme can be expanded in Bangladesh, it will be very good and Ahmadi Muslims should also try to get benefit from such opportunities...Those living in rural areas should step up, serve Community, instill in younger ones the sense of responsibility to serve Community...Whether living in rural areas or cities, members should be great asset for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, society and nation, and convey message of Hadhrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) to others.
His Holiness (a.t.) was asked about a revelation to Hadhrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) that ‘People of Bengal will be consoled’ [Tadhkirah page 822, 2018 edition].
He (a.t.) advised that Ahmadi Muslims in Bangladesh should strive and prove themselves to get blessings of that revelation. I often say to Ahmadi Muslims from Bangladesh that you have already recipients of great love and affection and now you must fulfill your duties and responsibilities, increase in righteousness, serve Community with greater zeal, seek to bring in spiritual revolution in your nation, consider cruel persecution that you face as means of sowing seeds of progress of our Community. History proves that as the result of persecution more and more people are becoming aware of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It is seen in Pakistan as well, the more persecution the more message of Hadhrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) is reaching worldwide and in country itself.
Hadhrat Khalifatul Messiah V (a.t.) further said that you should not be afraid of persecution in Bangladesh, it is seed for your success. Your sacrifices will be consoled and you will be recipient of great love. Ahmadiyya Mosques and members are attacked, some are martyred. I always pray to Allah the Exalted may He improve situation in Bangladesh and keep you under His Protection, and I always feel deep concern for all of you...To get benefits of the revelation of Hadhrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) fulfill your duties, be ready ot offer possible sacrifices for faith, strive to convey message of Hadhrat Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) to all corner of nation and increase your own spiritual and moral standards.
As the online meeting drew to close, His Holiness was asked about his experiences as a prisoner of conscience in 1999 [before his Khilafat], when he was falsely imprisoned for 11 days in Pakistan.
Hadhrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) said, During those days in prison, I felt contentment. Though it was summer, Allah the Exalted caused weather to be pleasant. My time was spent without fear whatsoever. According to charges leveled against me, I was sure I would spend all life in prison or get death sentence. I was not afraid and sought Allah Help and desired to please Him. I considered if I am to be punished for the sake of my faith, it is a means of great blessings. However Allah the Exalted had a different plan for me and so after ten or eleven days He created the conditions for my release from the jail.
