Exotic name - an offense for children?
#1
A New Zealand judge has allowed a 9 years girl to change its name. Child to go to court to receive a different name than that given by his parents - Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii. The judge who has lead that case ruled that the name is an offense to the child and develop even a "social handicap" and criticized what it is called by fashion, that makes parents to give weird names to their children.

The fashion of strange names has reached unknown heights in Hollywood. Absolute champions seem to be actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who have 6 kids now, one of which Maddox, Shiloh and the newborn twins were at a step to receive the name of Castor and Polux, the mother's suggestion. Good luck with the father who said that sounds like a curse in English. After comes the interpreter and human rights activist, Bob Geldof, who has three daughters - Fifi Trixie Belle One, Pixie and Peaches.

In the United States, anthropologist Michael Sherrod has written a book about strange names they receive children. He explained in an interview to an American television station, that there are several categories of names. There are parents who bring their children the name of capital sins. But are children who receive names of... punctuation.

Are enough Americans who have names like Merry Christmas and Have a nice day. And quite surprisingly is that they do not want to change their name.
"At first I was very surprised, given that many tell how were beat fellow play when they were in school, not once. When they grew they have start to love the name, because they were discriminated and many people remembers them for their names".

I wonder what are the parents thinking when they give an exotic names to their kids. It seems that they didn't think twice the effect of the name they give to their kids. Many kids will make fun of it when they go to school and above all when they look for a job.

maybe they think that this unusual name will make the child also unusual ... I do not think there is a parent who would want that its child to suffer in life... :geek:

Your name is your visitting card. Some exotic names sounds unusual but beautiful, some is a real offence for children. Some parents can name a child as a movie hero,as a star, planete, state.I know that your name has a influence on your destiny. Parents should think about it and don't punish their beloved child

Every kind of name means something and in many countries there are people who are sure that the name of any person influence the future of that person, and more than that it influence its character, so i think parents who choose to put to their child an exotic name should think about that, because it is about their child future.
