Can you believe we have reached the threshold of the holidays? I'm sure you did not expect this year to pass so quickly, but this happened. Now, what to do? Have you discussed the Christmas program with bosses? It would be good for you to prepare in advance and not leave anything on the last minute, otherwise you could wake up that you will be the assigned to work on holidays or in the first days of the year.

If you want to enjoy a perfect winter vacation then you should settle down in time, how your program will look for the holidays.
1. Leave days
In addition to holidays that you will have in this period of year, you can take, and a few days off, to enjoy a longer vacation.
The point is to announce in advance that you intended to do that. Otherwise you could stir colleagues anger or you can receive a negative response from superiors.

2. Preparations in full swing
Plan in time what will you do on holidays, to tell your superiors what plans you have. Tell in advance, make reservations if you plan to leave the town and try to make your plans known.
3. Be flexible
You are not the only one who wants a well-deserved vacation, but before you claim your rights, would be well to take into account and your peers plans.Discuss with them and organize yourself so that no one can feel ignored or cheated.

4. Negotiate with superiors
There are a good chance that your plans will not receive a positive agreement from superiors. And then, you'd better wear negotiations with them to reach an agreement in terms of working hours on holidays. You need to take into consideration the company policy and be as flexible.

Be willing to help your colleagues and superiors from home. Explain to them that you can manage some emergencies from home. With a little help you will all the chances to have one months free to enjoy the peace of the winter holidays.

I think that you should think about Christmas holidays in good time. You should think out the program for winter holidays one month before, otherwise you are risking to lose your chance to have a rest at all. I think that everybody should have a rest, just some days, in a Christmas holidays, it is necessary and our bosses should respect that right. But if you want more than 2-3 days for the rest, you have to prevent and discuss it with your bosses. Does it calm, well-grounded and beforehand.
