Hey,
Me and my friend,we´d like to move to New York at the end of october 2009.We come from Estonia,its next to Russia.
Is it hard to find job and place to live in NY.

You need work permits or visa's. Failing that, you would be classed as an illegal worker in the USA. This would seriously limit your work opportunity's, probably end up working for a dodgy employer with little pay and even less rights!!

Jobs in hospitality are easy to get. You may have to work long hours and pray for tips but its available to you.
Since living expenses are high, most people ask for roommates.
CraigsList will have this and you can se for those looking 2 roommates or you and your friend can live separate until you can find and afford it on your own.
It's best to have 3 at a place so if one person looses their job, the other 2 can ry to cover the rent.

Depends what you want to do, I wouldn't move out here until you had a job secured. It's very expensive to live in NYC.
