We need this for an Investigatory Project for Biology... Our group is hoping to find an experiment about plants or food, please, please help!!! If there's none, any biology experiment will do as long as there is no need for hard to find and expensive materials. Thank You!

Tomato plants my dear Watson! Very easy and cheap to grow. The hypothesis of tomato's grown in miracle grow or not. Spring water vs tap water. Grown in flower pots vs the ground. The sky is the limit. I have grown a single cherry tomato plant my son Bright home from school in a flower pot to "humor" him. That thing grew to be almost 3ft tall in regular potting soil and produced beautiful red cherry tomato's all summer long last year. My kid's loved to eat them! Good luck!

You could do an experiment into genetics.
There is a classic experiment where two red roses were taken - cross bred. By the third generation the plants were all white in colour.

you could extract DNA fron a banana. you can't really do anything with the DNA but it is really fun. it is also easy i did it twice.
here is the link to the lab

Yeah we tested the plant growth
We set up a control and experimental
The experimentals were salt, and vinegar
Which one halted growth?
