What's the likelyhood i'd get a job in Germany?

I have been visiting a website called <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.toytowngermany.com">www.toytowngermany.com</a><!-- w --> where positions have been advertised in English. I have a German degree but no teaching qualification but some of the jobs are adveritising for teaching assistants.

Is it likely I could be a teaching assistant? I don't have any formal teaching qualification of any sort but I do have teaching experience and in one situation, in Germany.

How much could a teaching assistant expect to bring home in their pay packet?

I wouldn't bank too much on finding a job in Germany. From the information you provided I understand that you're a native English speaker with a BA degree in German? If that's the case, you'll certainly be able to communicate with the natives. However, your degree won't qualify you for any serious teaching.

Especially as this is Europe, there's more than enough native English speakers trying to teach English there. It's almost essential to have some sort of rudimentary teaching certification (like a TOEFL or CELTA).

Without those two you'll be stuck teaching privately for bargain-basement prices.

Either get an MA, a teaching qualification, or at least enough experience.

A teaching assistant earns very little over there. You're far better off to do a good TEFL course as a Masters and then go to Germany and look for work teaching English.

Unless you are an EU citizen close to 0
American degrees are not recognized in Germany
You will need a work visa and as a you do not qualify for a visa there are enough teachers here even some are unemployed.
Your only chance would be to work freelance but be aware of very high taxes and do not expect to earn much.

If you are British or Irish citizen go for the try but still be aware you will not earn much.
Also public schools are not available to you since you need to be civil servant as a teacher there and civil servant needs to be a German citizen or a resident during 8 years.

No way in Germany you have to have a German or at least other European degree for any academic job all other jobs require an apprenticeship.
Also unless you are EU citizen you need a resident permit and work visa since there are enough teachers you will not be able to get the visa.
