London: Bridge design engineer wiltshire

The role will primarily be focussed on the detailed design of bridge schemes. This will include large span bridges as well as smaller bridges and other structures associated with highways and railways. You can also expect to be involved in the innovative renovation of existing structures, the development of concept designs, feasibility studies and forensic engineering.
As a member of a team responsible for a wide range of projects you will have several duties including,
· detailed design on a wide variety of bridge projects;
· undertaking investigations and outline design for new works and improvement of existing infrastructure;
· site inspections and surveys;
· liaising with clients, contractors and other interested public and private organisations;
· supervising CAD technicians
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
· sound academic ability in structural engineering;
· able to work as part of a team;
· commercially aware;
· a personal commitment to work to tight deadlines while under pressure;
· good written and verbal communication skills;
· a keen interest in bridges engineering.
