Peace be on you.
The ongoing holy month of Ramadan is blessing of Allah and it is the time to revive faith and righteousness.
Allah says: “O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may become righteous.” (Holy Quran chapter 2: verse184).
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said: Allah Almighty says: All the deeds of a person are for his sake except the Fast. The Fast is kept for My sake alone and I am the reward for it.
The blessings of this month are absorbed when worship of God is done with reciting, pondering and practicing the Holy Quran. Good deeds are done, bad ones are left for ever, doing self checks, rights of creation of God are given, poor are helped, truth is upheld, false is avoided as it is equivalent to making partner to One God.
The purpose of Ramadan is to be fully attentive to Almighty Allah and seek His love.
