Prayers are answered when one prays with complete understanding that only God can help him or her.

Peace be on you. When a person pray to God with complete understanding that there is no one else who can help of my troubles and only God Almighty can help me, then Prayers of such person are answered. Allah says in Holy Quran: “….Who answers the distressed person when he calls upon Him…’ (27:63) And He then states that Allah alone listens.
People can help others in limited ways. It is only God Who can help everyone in every situation.
