Georgia and South Ossetia at war
Balkanesse,

Did you knoe that Georgia has never recognized Kosovo? If you think that Kosovo was a mistake as well as others, why do you have different approch to South Ossetia or Abkhazia?

If you are accusing US/NATO/GE having double standards, what about yourself: if it's kosovo we should suport Serbia, if it's South Ossetia we must not support Georgia?

chena Wrote:Balkaneese,

Could you be more constructive and really try to answer questions -

I did.

The fact that you didn't like them is another matter. But the answers were not meant to be liked by you, they are just plain truth.

chena Wrote:And do you really think that "f" words impress someone or are a good arguments?

Pardon me? Could you quote my "f" words?

They are much closer than is Georgia to Atlantic.

i guess I could say S word instead of general Fword, did I use Putana instead of Putin?

marika25 Wrote:1. When you say will withdarw on Monday you should do it on Monday.

Can you quote the article of cease-fire agreement specifying "Monday".

BTW, which Monday? Which day? Which month? This or next year?

marika25 Wrote:nobody respects russia, there are some who are afraid, but Georgians are not among them.

Good for you.

I've heard Suck'a-a-a-AAA-sh-vilains "will never surrender". That happen to be true, they just run away.

Why did you attack S. Ossetia in the first place?

marika25 Wrote:3.You are right. Not a single Chechen was killed by Russians. Do you yourself believe in it?

And your point is?

marika25 Wrote:4.Berlin? Are you insane.

LOL

Nope.

Your master set the standard in Kosovo. The rule is that "might is right".

Georgia happen to serve its master willingly, so it's just to have the masters' rules applied on herself.

Besides, you can't become member of NATO without recognizing its puppet mafia statelet Kosovo. So it would be just a matter of time. And you did anounce wish for NATO, didn't you?

So u are against NATO and US, fight them not Georgia! Have u ever thought why georgian government has chosen NATO? because Russia's been taking Georgian territories long before NATO was even creted. sochi is one of the examples, the word sochi is a georgian word and means tree. I am not saying anytging abut Abkhazia and Russians buying properties there.
I undertand why you do not like NATO, but tell me how Georgians can like Russia?

chena Wrote:fight them not Georgia!
That's why use the term Suck'a-a-a-AAA-sh-vilains. But you complain against it.

Georgians are my brothers and sisters, just like Russkies.

Russia is not against NATO...we only want to say that The Cold War is over, but NATO can not understand that and doesn`t want to...

Dmitry Wrote:Russia is not against NATO...

Perhaps not.

But NATO is against Russia. Against its mere existence.

ROAFL

The only barbarians that come to mind are those NATO gang.

So, keep hating, until you have your hart frozen. That might spare some effort to Russia.

oh, I am so scared. Don`t dream that hearts of Georgians will ever become frozen. I respect your personal feelings toward "Nato gang", though Georgia really does not have any blame in your problems. Thank you very much for your effort to answer my questions, but these were not answers, these were desperate efforts of an angry man to make proection on other events. My questions were not about Kosovo or Iraq, but about russia`s actions in Georgia. Justifing these actions by your personal feelings towards NATO, is a bit rediculous.

Well, I'm glad you at least had a laughter, if you weren't able to learn that there are no two sets of rules in this world, than only one.

Did russians have a right to intervene sovereign state, according to International Law?
Can peace keepers be so biaseed not to protect ethnic Georgian population and imposing permanent threat to them?
Can peacekeepers be the representatives of the country which is the party of the conflict?
Does "protecting" peacekeepers means bombing civilian targets far away from the conflict zone?

Frederic Wrote:Does "protecting" peacekeepers means bombing civilian targets far away from the conflict zone?

It does, according to NATO rules of engagement.

Russians don't do that.

STOP THE WAR!!! PEACE AND FREEDOM FOR GEORGIA
Each of you has been inform on the latest events happened in my country, Georgia. Russia is conducting military actions on a large scale against a sovereign country. And I, as one of the sons of my country I could not do without and not express my position. Here from Milan, I would like to appeal to the whole community worldwide. In 1991, once the Georgia gained independence, has addressed the problems associated with integrity territorial in Abkhazia and South Ossezia, to which Russia has led an important contribution even then. But today the Russian aggression has exceded the limits of the region of Southern Osezia and russian planes bombing the Georgian's cities, air raid on towns that are at 200-300 km from the conflict zone. Strategic air raid points and inhabited buildings, that's incredible and intolerable. Air raid ports, airports, railways, schools and places of first aid. There are victims among the civilian population, died more than 50 people civilians, were destroyed the city. Yesterday night air raid by Russian planes attacked near the capital of Georgia - Tbilisi. I would ask all the world communities raise the voice against Russian aggression. so that together we can stop tragedy and injustice that has affected my country. Believe that the only fault of Georgia and aspiration to freedom and the values of democracy, which are shared worldwide. And if today our country is punished for this system of values and if we do not give the appropriate response to this aggression believe that tomorrow the fate of our country can be shared by other ex-Soviet republics and also from other European countries. On behalf of my country I appeal and I ask you to leave not only my small but proudly country against Russian aggression. This war must be stopped immediately, we all have to stop it… so that is possible.

Here's what really happened: Georgia has a province 'South Osetia' which tried to separate from Georgia after Soviet Union fell early 1990ies (Soviet Union had ocuppied Georgia and it's provinces for over 70 years) the attempt of separation of this province was masterminded in Russian government and backed for all these years. The separatist movement resulted a conflict between Georgia and it's region 'South Ossetia', but in reality it was a conflict between Russia and Georgia. Russia brought it's troops in the region for peacekeeping and supplied separatists with arms of unimaginable ammount, which really was for controll in the region. Since then Georgia tried multiple times to resolve the conflict peacefully offering separatist defacto government autonomy and everything they could have ever dreamt of, but resolved conflict never was in Russian plan as the idea was to annex and take away this land from Georgia. Russia's current goal is to destabilize Georgia to prevent it from entering NATO as they have said: 'We will do anythign to prevent Georgia and Ukraine from entering NATO'.

Bush said Nato peacekeepers at Kosovo could...and we can Frederic. But there is a difference...Russians live in Ossetia too

Hang Suck'a-a-a-AAA-sh-vilain high.

Cmmon. We can trow insults and mutual accusetions for decade its not going anywere.
Russia has interests in post SU space it is NATURAL. US has its own interests in the area and they want to create as many pro wastern US alligned puppet states as they can it is OBVIUS.
Whole situation was a torn in ewery involved party ass. Georgia cant join NATO with territorial integrity problems unresolved, besides population is eager to unify country. US cant make thier protage and willing servant Saakashvili president of country member of NATO. Russia wants to be upholder of international law but can not allow Georgia to join NATO and abandon pro Russian population of region.
Ewery side was preparing for what we see now. No point to argue about that. Georgian government was preparing to use force for quik resolution of territoryal problem and backed by us they could just inform world community about fact that they subdued small people. Parhaps Saakashvili and Bush thought that Russia is bluffing or Georgian military just didnt completed all military objectives, or Saakashvili started to act too early. Anyway Russia was prepared and acted quikly. The objective was not only to deffend pro Russian population of region but also to show everyone that bushs verbal garanties and support means nothing. Also it is massage that Russia can and will be defending its national interests.

Lor Wrote:SiD, no matter how may arguments we had i MUST admit that you are the only Russian in here that is worth conversation, because you read and THINK about what other people say. At least you can see the geopolitical reasons behind the conflict. You can see Russia's EXTRA interests. And that's where we disagree. I don't think that Russia should decide on Georgia's future. This is up to them.

You just don't brag about Georgia's being fascist nor South Ossetia attack like a poem learn by heard from TV.
What most people should understand is that they should look BEYOND this media. Media is what we are supposed to see. It's made for the masses. EVERY country has Secret Intelligence Agencies that know and can predict what will happen in the next months, or even years and every political decision or action is well thought and planned in advance. There aren't many spontaneous ones.

Of course, to UNDERSTAND what is truly going on, or to be able to look BEYOND the conflict and find real interests and reasons, you need to have considerable IQ. This is something that most people seem to lack in.

Somehow Independent is right that NO mater how much we talk on this forum, we are just TOO small to change a thing, because UNFORTUNATELY Superpowers control the world.

For SiD: You agree???
