Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues, and contribute to the pre-production planning process .
Active self-management and time control.
SKILLSET
Python
Thorough knowledge, preferably working with frameworks Django and Turbogears.
Java
Thorough knowledge of J2EE development and JSP
PHP
Thorough knowledge and ability to maintain existing projects.
MySQL
Thorough knowledge of all areas of MySQL administration.
ASP/.net frameworks
Working knowledge preferable
Flash
Extensive knowledge of OOP development with AS2, including video streaming and dynamically-driven data XML/DB procedures.
Additionally
Requirement to understand and imlpement XML, SOAP, JSON, ORM The chosen candidate will be able to perform a limited sys admin role within the scope of their day to day tasks - these include working with LAMP server frameworks to setup development environments - and work with YP sys admins to deploy projects.
YP use SVN to develop and manage code libraries - a working knowledge of SVN repositories and tree structures is vital
