Kosovo's independence...
#1
So what do you think about Kosovo's independence, which might be declared on 17-th of February?

#2
Kosovo is a Serbian territory with historical Serbian cultural memorials. Now there is continued eradication of Serbian culture and religion in Kosovo. Serbian population in Kosovo is being terrorized and is forced to run away from their homes.

#3
The kosovo citizens have decided in a democratic referendum that they want to be a sovereign state.
So, EU must respect the democratic decision of Kosovo.

And I expect that the democratic EU countries will accept this decision. We'll see...

How true is this.. can you provide any facts or is it pure speculation?

First of all, Kosovo has never been Serbian, and Serbs have never been the majority. You came from north and pushed away the Albanian population from their homes, last time you did it was not less then 9 years ago. You expect them to live under Serbian rule? What if Serbs elect another "slobo-minded" person as the radicals were almost close to win the last elections, what then? Sorry... Kosovo has chooses its way and its not under Belgrads umbrella.

I wish the Kosovar ppl a happy day on their Independence day tomorrow, you deserve it.

Sorry you are very wrong, Dardania aka Kosova was and will always be of Illyrian roots. Albanians are the people that lived in those lands from the time of the Bronze age or maybe earlier. I can't believe you talk about terrorism, when your countryman did the most horrific atrocities in front of modern world, that's how stupid you guys are

What historical if you don't mind, the churches that you build in the top of catholic Illyrian churches. The truth my dear may delay, but in the end God will put it's rays and show who the real deal is.

The problems with Serbs is that your own historians have admitted to not learning foreign languages, cause to them was not important what other side of history said, and I think in a way you guys lived in denial, which made it the truth in your mind like a mythology. I can't believe it that you are not capable of tracing your own roots which are for Iran. Here is a map just for your knowledge... Wink

I have to admit that you are completly wrong about facts reffering the Srbian majority on Kosovo. First of all yu have to have some knowledge and read a tons of books before go into public with some standpoint - its hard for me to explain those facts - I can feel that you are in big love with Albanians and I wish you lot of them in your first neigbour as soon as possible with their bussines habbits like dealing drugs to your children, prostitution etc. / did you ever heard for some Albanian scientis & artist & writer ??? - if you have any please inform me /
All the best to you with your new friends but we will never accept your false democraty . Big Grin

Isn't it a precedence that will be used by other wannabe independent countries?
There are a lot of similar regions in the world who's rights to independence are disputable.

Milos form Greece, you should talk about business and prostitution. I remember when I came in 1990 which were the early years and not too many albanians had put foot in Greece yet. What can I see, but in every corner of Athens there was a whore hose (burdello) with greek women. Now let forget who's more whore than whom, at least we albanians don't hold the title of Capital of Homosexuality. Again I did not want to go down this road, but since you open Pandoras Box, then everything has to come out not just one sided..Wink

Now we know history, the world knows history, I think you just like the serbs have education only from the Orthodox church and that's how much your level of knowledge is equal too.

Albanian Figures

Gjergj Kasterjot (Skenderbeg)

Mother Teresa (Gonxhe Bojanxhi)

Ali Pashe Tepelena (who without him you greeks would be more turks than you already are)

He is honoured with the hightitle "Honour of the Nation." Kadare is a member of the FrenchAcademy among 12 foreign associate members of this Academy, andof the Berlin Academy. His literary works have been translated in 20 languages of the world.

Jeronim de Rada (1814–1903) - poet

Ferid Muradi - medical researcher Nobel laureate

Now these are just some that came to my mind cause there are many. Please sweetie pie, don't albanian children are the first in the greek schools. Now run along and learn some real history, cause if you claim otherwise than the whole world will laugh at you just like they are doing with the serbs. Cause fortunately the books on Albania and it's origin are not only in our hearts and our knowledge from our ancestors, but also in Vatican, Turkish Library, England, which saw it resenable to finally open them and let the truth out. The truth in the end always prevails my friend no matter how much you try to keep it chained.

Have a nice dayWink

Kosovo is Serbia. Serbia will NEVER accept its removal.

The ethnic Albanian population's attempt to declare independence does not make it a legal declaration. The entire process violates International Law and the basis of UN resolutions including 1244.

Simply because one ethnic group has a majority in a region of a country does not provide the basis for declaring independence anymore than a majority Mexican population in part of California could opt for the State to become independent of the US.

The very concept of independence in this manner is 180 degrees opposite current International Law and would be a terrible precedent. It places on shaky ground ANY territory of a state that possesses a local population that seeks independence.

If independence only requires a declaration by a majority in a local area where does that end. What country can be considered whole, from Canada with Quebec to Spain with Basques, from Russia with Odessa to China with Taiwan and Turkey to Iraq with the Kurds.

The Serbs will never accept this forced separation. I expect it will fester on the Serb soul and will smolder until a time when it will ignite with terrible repercussions.

Wow. Your lack of understanding of Serbian Culture and history is breathtaking. The official Serbian Church with St. Sava go back to the early 1200s. Serbs as a ethnic group within the Greek Church even further back to before the church schism of 1054. The Serbs at that time were the "Catholic" population since at that time there was only the "Catholic" Church with either Latin or Byzantine tradition.

Paul Taylor(Reuters) Wrote:The European Union approved the launch of a 2,000-strong police and justice mission for Kosovo on Saturday, on the eve of the breakaway province's expected declaration of independence from Serbia.

The supervisory mission was formally endorsed at midnight (6 p.m. EST on Friday) after none of the EU's 27 member states objected to an operation plan for the mission before an agreed deadline, a diplomatic source said.

"The (EU) Council has decided to launch the European Union rule of law mission in Kosovo," the EU said in a statement, adding the operation would take over powers from the existing U.N. mission in the territory after a 120-day transition period.

I think it is you who lack historical facts. Wasn't it Kostandin the Great that made christianity legal and set the Byzantine Empire, and that is why it was called Kostandinopul. WHo was Kostandin the Great, maybe you should go and check his backgroud or I'll give you a hint Albanian. Sorry you lack total knowledge of your own history while you were somewhere in Asia and came over in the 6-7 century AD we were the authochton of Ballcans. You gys sold the mythology to the world like some of your admirers, but the people are more smarter than you the so called superior race, which I have no clue where you got that idea, since you are not even people that belong in that area what so ever. Sorry the truth always prevails in the end.

Really how so Kosova isSerbia, did your ancestors brought that land with then in 6-7 century AD. Dardania aka Kosova was taken officially by the Serbs in 1100's so I think you are very wrong.

Come again, you will not recgonize, and that is going to do what, are you guys going to do atrocities like your compatriots did. WHy, ask your self why did you loose all your Repubilcs one by one. Hmmm really do you see what happenes what happenes when you steal someones land and treat them like animals. It was never yours to begin with. I'll tell you why:

1 Is not yours

2 You are animals and have no clue how to treat people

3 You deprive people from their cultural heritage that has been with them from beginning of times.

4 Not that Tito was increasable, but at least he did not go crazy.

So you guys came there as guests, and made sure to turn the people in their own land like slaves. The atrocities that you did are just grotesque.

Here I hope you enjoy, I am sure that if you search you'll find more human pain that you guys caused.

Albanians the direct Illyrian descendants, even under many occupiers under Roman invasion, Serb invasion Greek and most Turk invasion, no matter how much they all tried to bury the people and their history and language, they never forgot who they were. Is the will That God gives us to survive even under the most horrible circumstances.

I can’t understand Cosovo’s independence. In current terms it doesn’t sounds like much independence at all. To be free from someone isn’t independence in plain terms, but on the same time is only new submission. I have found that Albanians seek new misters for self only. Cry

Sorry everybody for my mistake in word “Kosovo”. Just yesterday I and two my friends was drinking beer and taking sauna by discussing many political world problems. By the way one of us deemed yourself as Albanian but on half only. Our common resolution: right of stronger man (for example, USA) is right for all, but it isn’t so reason to spoil each other life. Hello from Russia.

Didn't this work for Serbs when the got over parts of Albania, and directed by Russia. Please read more history my darling than come here and accuse us for doing something that you used for many centuries by using a superpowers help, and enslaved people in their own land.

In both responses, you give an explanation that truly it comes back and hunts you.
