Why are you Americans so scared for your safety???For God's sake do you really think that the States are safer than any other place worlwide?Terrorism hit NY remember???Go to Cyprus and enjoy yourselves to the fullest without worrying for your safety that much.In any case you cannot be safe these days even if you are at your place!!!

Most of Europe is far safer than most of the US and Greeks are among the continent's most friendly. Don't do the brash American 'smart ass' stuff which never goes down well. You will find plenty of English spoke. Why not leard 'please' and 'thank you' in Greek? Shows good attitude.

Absolutely yes. I dont even know why it would not be safe. I have never seen anythign unsafe in the news about Cyprus. Turks and Cypriots may not get along on the surface but that doesnt mean there is battles or war on the island. It is not like Palestine and Israel or anything. Most things are handled in a civilized manner. Usually the battle is between politicians not the people anyway. And a lot of them realize this.
If you are pertaining to the Turkish - Greek tension I would not worry about it. Turks and Greeks are very similar people and I believe people actually get along just fine. It sometimes is a polotical territorial battle thats all.
